Review an FOI request - Commonwealth

Use this form if you want the outcome of your Freedom of Information (FOI) request to be reviewed in the Commonwealth under s 93A of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth) by the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

In an OAIC review, the Information Commissioner (IC) will conduct a merit review (e.g., look at your request and reconsiders it and determine what the correct decision should have been.

If your application was denied, you have 60 days from the time you received the outcome of your review to file a request with the IPC.

If your application was partially allowed, you have 30 days to apply for a review.

An OAIC review is free.
